  2. The file REDIST.SYS contains sysop documentation and REDIST.USR contains user
  3. documentation.    Sysops should read REDIST.USR before reading the REDIST.SYS
  4. file to understand how the server works.
  5.  
  6. If you are currently running v2.04 of the server please upgrade to this version
  7. immediately.  A bug in v2.04 causes all output to be written to a file named
  8. with the sysop's callsign.
  9.  
  10. If you have not previously installed REDIST, please read all the documentation
  11. before installing the server.
  12.  
  13. If you are installing version 2.07 over version 1, please read all the
  14. documentation as the software has had a number of additions since version 1
  15. which affect the config file and FBB INIT.SRV file.
  16.  
  17. If you are installing version 2.07 over an older version 2 copy of the server,
  18. please read REDIST.SYS as a number of sysop options have been added.  The
  19. REDIST.EXE file can simply be copied over the older version.  After installing
  20. the server, please remember to do a 'REDIST /UPDATE'.

  24. From version 2.07 I'm using the Borland C++ compiler.  As a result the
  25. REDIST.EXE program will no longer run on 8088/8086 machines. It needs a
  26. minimum of an 80286 machine.  If this causes you a problem, please let me
  27. know and I'll see if I can find a solution.
